Javascript prototype of “The Blacksmith” ready at end of next week!
Well, that is actually my primary goal and I think this will work. Because I have already a blueprint – my last posting was about a pen & paper prototype that I’ve played with my wife. So it should not be a big deal to get a javascript prototype.
And now I’ll get serious … or better digital!
“Ehm – javascript?!”
So you maybe ask: “Why the heck Javascript?! Dude – get serious!”. Well, even when I’ve read a good article about “Programming principles from the early days of id Software“, where “No prototypes – always maintain constantly shippable code. Polish as you go.” is a big headline for a chapter, I think that I’ve to take the time to do some testing in a language where you can archive really quick your goal. Actually I even do not know if this game will become a mobile app or pc game.
For some SEO reasons, pictures are good, so here you go 😉

I am really excited to get all my new learnings from the pen & paper prototype to this digital javascript prototype. Maybe I will upload it and some friends can play around to give me some feedback.
My challenge now is to figure out how far I drive things and what is good enough to get a good impression if everything I am thinking about really works. I guess that we’ll have several iterations on this javascript prototype.

Maybe you want join as well? Please leave a comment if you do! 😉 I’d really appreciate it and maybe you will test the next big new thing on the economy simulation sky!
But for now I have to say good bye – gotta go to bed now, air plane leaves WAY TOO EARLY tomorrow … I just say that I’ve to get up at 5:15 am.
Cya folks!
